I have written about separation a few times. I hope that you look at those posts. The playgroup started the second week of September. I have the luxury of not needing a phase-in period because the groups are so small. I assume the kids will be ok. If they’re not, parents or caregivers make themselves available to pick up their child if he or she is having a really hard time. A lot of kids are used to a morning nap, and so, it’s an adjustment for them. They are usually so interested in this new space, Kristen and I, and their new friends that after a few weeks they want to come here every day. This is what I hope for!
